The DISSO III classic automated dissolution tester fulfils all USP requirements
for Apparatus III dissolution testing. Prior to test run, all parameters may be
programmed via the touch screen or PC. The DISSO III tester is comprised of 6 rows
of 8 media vessels immersed in a clear acrylic water bath. A heater circulator
maintains a programmed temperature to ±0.1 deg C. Eight sample inner tubes are
mounted to a reciprocating arm. The automated sampling manifolds are standard.
The Logan DISSO III Classic addresses important factors overlooked by conventional
USP Apparatus 3 testers. (Refer Beckett). Logan Engineers have designed “Auto Seal”,
automated vessel covers that reduce evaporation of media from vessels prior to and after testing.
Furthermore, the stroke height is adjustable (optional) to accommodate smaller media volumes
while using shorter media tubes.
